Second flight at Parowan

Today had less clouds and stronger south wind than yesterday, but the cloudbase was higher (over 18,000ft). I went to Capitol Reef again to shoot more photos because, yesterday, I wasted some shots. I used manual focus and set the focus to the infinity, but didn't know that I needed to reset the focus when I change the zoom level. Because of that, bunch of photos got blurred.

We took off from the north end of runway because the south wind was so strong. Ramy strongly encouraged everyone not to carry water when taking off to the south because the runway is slightly uphill towards south. The downside of that was that you need to fight the headwind without water on your way back from the north. The wind was blowing 25 kts from 240 when I was on my way back to Parowan, and clouds have been totally dissipated by that time. Even worse, I hit a wave sink 3 miles south of Junction, and was shot down to 11,000 ft west of the highway exit between Parowan and Beaver. I managed to dig myself out of it, and made it back, but next time, I will carry at least SOME water..

More reefs.
