Flight at Ely

Here comes another OD day (four days in a row!). To discharge the energy piled up by not flying for four days, I took off around 11am. There were lifts up to around 13,000ft, and flew a couple of hours. Except that I picked a wrong time to land (landed in the middle of thunderstorm), I was happy.

An enormous storm cell developing over Ely airport

After the flight, when I was about to start driving to Parowan, UT, I heard a familiar voice on the radio. Eric Rupp flew from Truckee, and was asking for the condition at Ely. Eventually, he made it to the airport.

Drove 200 miles
